Roberts’ State Senate Dist. 6 2010 Campaign Going Full Strength!

As a candidate for the 2010 election cycle, I’ve spent a lot of time since I got out of the legislative session last May on the road getting to know Senate District 6 better. I’ve lived in this part of the state for the past 20 years, but there’s always more to learn about such a diverse area as Southwest Colorado.
The time on the road has been very educational and fun, too. Since 2007, I’ve been representing about a half of the senate district already in my role as state representative for House District 59. Still, there are people and parts of the senate district, which encompasses four more counties than my house district, who I want to get to know better.
So, to do that, I’ve been driving the highways, back roads and mountain passes of Southwest Colorado. My husband and I went camping in late August for nearly a week, enjoying the high country. This was in addition to the many meetings I’ve been attending to learn the issues of the areas newer to me. It’s been a fascinating experience and I look forward to more time in 2010 exploring and meeting the people of Senate District 6!
